The wedding ceremony is imagined, organized and made a reality together. We will communicate over the phone, email, or even in person to design your wedding. With the help of resources like a personalized song list where all you have to do is check off songs as well as a ‘wedding planner’ to make sure that any key moments like your processional are linked with the right song – you’ll likely find it is a lot easier than you thought to settle on a plan. Ryan will execute on that plan with the professionalism and spirit that your special occasion deserves!

Hey, this is an opportunity for me to provide you with a glimpse into what your wedding may be like when you hire Ryan Cook Music. Not all of these videos are from weddings but I wanted to show you some songs that I think fit nicely into different parts of your wedding, be it the ceremony, cocktail hour and/or reception. Let me know what you envision for your wedding!

I take note of all the music I feel inspired by and want to learn as well as the music that has been requested of me when I’m out gigging. Then, every few months – BOOM I research chords, make adjustments by ear, arrange lyrics, analyze playability and have days like this where I print out 25-35 new songs, sort, collate, 3-hole punch and start the process of getting the to a performance level. Don’t take my word for it (remember Reading Rainbow? :-), watch/listen here:

Let me know about the kind of music you would like to hear at your gig and see if I already play any of your favorites by checking out my Song List

I was fortunate enough to be asked to gather a TRIO out of some of my musician friends for an event this SPRING season. That is why I have included a TRIO as a service here: DUO & TRIO

Now I can SHOW you what it may look like for a TRIO to play at YOUR event. Take a minute and check out the video of our TRIO performance here. While your at it, if you are interested in keeping up with any video content on my Youtube page (where this video is located) make sure to ‘like’ the video, ‘subscribe,’ and select the ‘bell’ icon to be notified of any new video content when its made available

I am happy to continue playing in concert with other musicians as more of a band. It really depends on what you are looking for and your budget. If you have any questions or would like to book me in any capacity make sure to ‘Get In Touch

Hope you enjoy the video!

I’m excited to tell you that I’ve started a new project and am very very excited about it. I’ve been pulling resources and gathering equipment to do home recordings, Music Videos and possibly some music vlogging. If you would like join my tribe you will be just that, my tribe. You will be the first to see all creative projects, will receive exclusive offers and all sorts of special stuff as we strengthen the fabric of our creative tribe.

This song “Loch Lomond” is the first recording.

Loch Lomond is a favorite of mine from the time when I went over to visit my grandparents and explore the beautiful country of Scotland. I really fell in love with the people, their accents, the land, the scotch, and especially the music. 1/2 of the photos in the video were taken by me and the ones that weren’t I was fortunate enough to BE at all those places. Just not fortunate enough to take pictures that are quite as good.

I know its St. Patricks day, this is a Celtic masterpiece so, enjoy!

Love,

Ryan

There are few things in life I enjoy more than playing music with others! Playing solo is definitely the best bang for the buck as I cover the background music, vocals, bass percussion, sometimes harmonica and solos (when I loop in the chords to play over them). Still, I cannot add harmony to myself, play bass or drums in addition to everything I am already doing.

Watch some clips of me playing with some of my talented musician friends! (below)

A Duo could be what you are looking for. Two people can offer a fuller sound without an exorbitant cost to you. I’ve recently started adding some of my very talented musician friends to a few of my gigs and I think that you will appreciate the fullness of sound and creative potential that provides.

There ARE challenges to playing music with people similar to that of adding anything to something; Diminishing returns. The more you add musically its always going to be adding more for people’s limited bandwidth to have to process. Further, as you add more people you triple the work that needs to be done. Not only do I need to make sure that I know the songs, the other person needs to know the songs. Communicating, organizing and practicing the different parts to come together as one is an art in of itself.

If you are a person that appreciates refinement and can afford it. I think that a DUO or TRIO could be what you are looking for & look no further.

All the best to you and yours,

Ryan

I played music at a local farmers market in Bryn Athyn PA. I find it to be rewarding to contribute to the local community events when I have the opportunity. There was hot breakfast breakfast omelets from Angela and John and pieces of floral artwork displayed by Matt.

The Bounty runs from May to October-ish?

Here are some highlights from my performance. *I will note that I started to really loose my voice 1/2 through and it turns out I came down with a cold the next day. But I soldiered through as best I could. Enjoy!
